Worlds one of the fourth largest railway networks thrives for biggest recruitment ever. The Indian Railway will hire 89,500 employees in the different categories very soon. It is being called worlds biggest recruitment process.
There are several posts for which vacancies have come out include assistant pilot, switchman, cabinmen, welders, helpers, porters technicians, trackmen and gangmen. The Railway ministry of India took the decision for this biggest recruitment process because to increase the safety of railway.
For recent derailment, the government has faced much criticism. To avoid this further the govt decided to recruit in bulk, said Rail minister Piyush Goyal. For the post of Trackman, Gang man and helper the qualification of the candidates have been decreased from technical degree to 10th pass. Moreover, the minimum age criteria have been relaxed for 2 years in all category. 63000 job vacancy for group D staffs and 26,500 posts are for assistant loco pilot and loco pilots.
This additional hiring of railway will cost 4000 crores per year.
